Something Rather Different, and An Early Notice
Our first LIVE by-appointment onsite estate sale for a very special collection, the home and contents of a reknowned Northwest potter and UPS art professor, featuring classic Mid Century Modern furnishings including a pair of Selig armchairs, outstanding pair of Jens Quistgaard rosewood armchairs, Hans Wegner rocking and folding rope chairs, classic teak dining table and tea wagon, and other classic pieces, great floor and table lamps, including a Frank Ligtelijn for Raak globe and Isamu Noguchi examples, works in every media from drawings and prints to handthrown clay and representing artists like F. Carlton Ball Sr., Anne Hirondelle, Fumiko Kimura, Rick Mahaffey, Ray Ho, Helen Buchanan, Kenneth Dickerson, Earl Chalk, Bob Vogel, Bill Colby, David Shaner, Jeff Procter and many others including the owner's own studio-ful, souvenirs from trips abroad to exotic locations, textiles from Oriental Carpets to African Batiks, and Khanga cloths to FIVE Riya-style rugs, Grand Victorian cylinder desk, Japanese prints and two outstanding carved and inlaid Chinese screen panels, and folk art from Zimbabwe and Uganda. A ca. 1917 model VV-XVI Victrola with fantastic sound, books, a wonderful pair of vintage filing/collections cabinets from the Old State Capital, a large collection of Asian ceramics including many Japanese tea bowls in all styles, and Japanese scrolls and prints, set of Edith Heath "Apricot" dinnerware plus a great assortment of Dansk peppermills and much, much more, all carefully curated over many years and arranged in a classic Northwest home nestled among the trees and hollows of Dash Point. We even found a vintage NBC station identification chime tucked away in the cellar.
Due to the special and limited space in this architect-designed award-winning residence, we are running this sale as a Limited-Attendance Appointment-Only event. It's very easy: When the green "Square Store" button appears on this website in a few days, you will be able to choose your time and day to view and shop this collection IN PERSON at which time you will also get the address. The sale begins Saturday morning, October 30, and runs at set times during the ensuing week. No getting up at dawn for an early number, no waiting in line (or at least, not much) to enter, and plenty of room to browse through the multiple wings and floors of this unique home, from the upper bedroom to the lower pottery studio, among a smaller group of fellow shoppers than usual.
